igokudani Wild Monkey Park is a famous wildlife park in Nagano, home to wild Japanese macaques known as “snow monkeys.” Visitors walk along a forest trail to observe the monkeys living freely in their natural mountain habitat. In winter, the park is especially scenic, with snow-covered landscapes and monkeys often gathering near warm hot springs. Animal sightings vary by season, as the monkeys are wild. NOTE - Admission fee will be paid on site.

Zenko-ji Temple is one of Japan’s most important and historic Buddhist temples, located in the heart of Nagano City. Founded over 1,400 years ago, it is known for its impressive main hall, peaceful grounds, and strong cultural significance. The temple is open to people of all beliefs and offers a calm, traditional atmosphere year-round. NOTE - Admission fee will be paid on site.
