Stop 1
The main attractions of Fushimi Inari Taisha are the vermilion-lacquered "Senbon Torii," the "Romon Gate" built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the "Main Hall" where five gods are enshrined, and the "Omokaru Stone" that predicts the fulfillment of wishes. Other recommended attractions include the "Fox Ema" shaped like a fox, the messenger of Inari Okami, and a tour of the power spots spread throughout Mount Inari.

Main Hall Fee: Adults: 500 yen per person, Elementary and Junior High School Students: 200 yen per person Highlights of Kiyomizu-dera Temple include the main hall (Kiyomizu Stage), the three-story pagoda that is registered as a World Heritage Site, and the beautiful Otowa Waterfall. Other popular spots include the Niomon Gate, the West Gate, Jishu Shrine, and a tour of the interior of the Zuigudo Hall.

Admission Fee: Adults (high school students and above): 500 yen, Elementary and Middle School Students: 300 yen The main attractions of Kinkaku-ji Temple are the sparkling Shariden (Golden Pavilion), the spectacular view reflected on the water's surface, and its historic architectural style. Specifically, the Shariden, which combines three different architectural styles, the "upside-down Kinkaku" reflected in the Kyokochi Pond, the teahouse "Sekkatei" which can be viewed from a hill, and Anminzawa, where the "White Snake Tomb" is enshrined.

The scenic Arashiyama area, beloved by aristocrats during the Heian period, is dotted with historic temples and shrines around its symbolic Togetsukyo Bridge. The strolling gardens of Tenryuji Temple, a World Heritage Site, are Japan's first historic site and a special place of scenic beauty, showcasing beautiful scenery in all four seasons. Enjoy boating on the Oi River, or stroll along the bamboo forest paths to visit the ancient temples of Sagano. New attractions, such as the recently opened Fukuda Art Museum and the newly renovated Saga Arashiyama Bunkakan Museum, are also attracting attention, making this an area you'll want to visit again and again as the seasons change.
