On your way, you will pass by The Palace of Fine Arts which was built for Panama-Pacific International Exposition held in San Francisco in 1915 to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal, but it was widely seen in the city as an opportunity to showcase its recovery from the 1906 earthquake.

Drive through the oldest part of the city, the Presidio. See the new Presidio Highway, the Tunnel Top Gardens, and the Crissy Field, Air Force base during WWII.
4
Stop 4
Cross the most famous Bridge on Earth and enjoy stunning views of the Pacific, the Marin Headlands on your left, and the SF Bay on your right. It was opened in 1937 and is painted orange-red to be more visible in the fog. Make a short stop at the Vista Point on the Northern side and take pictures of the Bridge, the bay, Fort Baker, and downtown SF. See The Lone Sailor, a bronze sculpture, tribute to all who have served or are currently serving in the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and the Merchant Marine.
5
Stop 5
Ride from the Golde Gate Bridge to the Muir Woods. See the stunning views of Richardson Bay, Sausalito, Tiburon, Strawberry Point, and Mount Tamalpais. Listen to the history of Marin County, and Muir Woods.
6
Stop 6
You will spend one hour and twenty minutes in the Muir Woods, US National Monument. Just 12 miles North of the city, see the tallest trees in the world, the Coastal Sequoias. Millions of years ago, sequoia trees grew throughout North America. Today, the Sequoias can be found only along the coast of California and Oregon. By the beginning of the 20th century, most of them were destroyed by fires and humans. One valley named Redwood Canyon remained uncut, mainly due to its relative inaccessibility. You will see majestic trees, you may meet deer, turkeys, chipmunks, and squirrels. You will enjoy the forest air and the stunning beauty of the tallest living objects on Earth.
7
Stop 7
After the Muir Woods, we will take you to Sausalito, one of the most beautiful little towns in America. Stunning views of the Bay, Islands, Bridges, yachts, great seafood restaurants, art galleries and souvenir shops make Sausalito a gem!
8
Stop 8
Driving you back from Sausalito to Pier 33, Alcatraz landing
9
Stop 9
After Sausalito, we will bring you to Alcatraz Landing on Pier 33 in the city. Here you will catch a boat to Alcatraz, a small Island in San Francisco Bay where the Federal Penitentiary was located from 1934 until 1963. It held the most notorious prisoners in American history, including gangsters, notorious bank robbers, and murderers... You can spend there as much time as you want, but do not miss the last boat!
